Construction: Frequently Asked Questions

Do you want to give your home a facelift but need a little extra push? Here are some of our most commonly asked questions to put your mind at ease.

How long will it take?

The amount of time needed for every project varies but a standard time frame for a fully redone bathroom can take 2-3 weeks, and a kitchen remodel can take about 3-4 weeks. Keep in mind that unexpected obstacles can happen so it’s always a good idea to add a few extra days to your time frame just in case.

Will it be loud or dirty?

The demolition phase is usually the loudest and messiest. Although there is usually a varying amount of noise throughout the renovation process, we will give you a notice of when you can expect high levels of noise. For example, if we will be cutting title or concrete we will give you plenty of notice so you can plan that day accordingly. Dry wall installation or sanding can leave fine dust in the air, during such time we put plastic over all nearby furniture and seal off the rest of the home.

Will my water or power be shut off?

Depending on the size of the project certain utilities can be shut off, mostly during the demolition phase. If we must shut of power, water, gas or electricity we will give you plenty of time to plan around it.
